A little about me...

Thank you for taking the time to read my profile. I am a laid back type of person that truly love to have fun and experience as much in my lifetime as possible that is safe.I am a christian man but I'm not overly religious. I'm not a player or a cheater because I'm comfortable with myself and don't have to use or abuse woman to validate my manhood. I'm NOT on the down low, I am NOT a freeloader and do believe in paying my own way. I do NOT have a criminal record and yes I am employed in a legitimate occupation. As a matter of fact ,it's what I wanted to do since I was a small child. I enjoy boating, traveling especially by train, camping, cookouts, playing cards, amusement parks,comedy movies and shows, etc. I love smooth jazz and 60s,70s and 80s soul,funk, r&b depending on my mood or the setting. I served in the navy aboard an aircraft carrier and got the chance to see a lot of the world and I still have the explorer's spirit to this day. I don't play head games with people and I don't like people playing head games with me. life is too short for all of that nonsense. I'm not a control freak and I'm not into control freaks, I just like to live my life in peace with no drama.

About the one I'm looking for...

I am looking for a level headed christian woman ( my soulmate ) that has a kind spirit but still loves adventure and love to travel. She should be romantic and like walks in the park, sipping a cup of hot chocolate ,tea or coffee when it's chilly outdoors and watching a movie, watching it rain or just talking. She should also like comedy and not be afraid to be silly sometimes. I'm not looking for a door mat to abuse but at the same time I can't deal with a woman that has an assertive / bossy personality at all, niether can I deal with a drama queen with a trainload of baggage that they want to unload from past relationships. I'm also looking for a woman that doesn't mind paying for dinner or a show SOMETIMES instead of a free loadeder. I'm not being cheap but I do belive in being fair. I admire people that are honest and have integrity. One thing that I hate is a liar. I hate a liar worse than a snake. Piercings (other than ear rings) are turn offs to me as are tattoos all over a person's body.

I'd just like to add...

I enjoy smooth jazz. I'm also into soul, funk and classic rock from the 60s ,70s, and early 80s, especially from groups that comes from industrial northern cities like Detriot, Chicago, Philadelpia and the Cleveland based O'Jays or southern delta region soul Stax (Memphis).I can even get into blues but I would prefer to be at a blues club, family reunion or BBQ joint to really get into it. Growing up on the westside of Dayton in the 60s and 70s I can't help but to like funk groups especially the ones from Dayton and Memphis. I will admit...I like to laugh and clown around at times because everyone should have a part of them that releases stress from the everyday world of work, traffic, bills ,kids, etc. I don't like to clown around to the point of being a fool, but I do belive in the balance of being serious and taking care of buisines and "clowning"
