Have been a musician for 40 plus years and currently play for church choir. I enjoy all types of music especially jazz. have my first set of grandbabies (twins) a gril and a boy. Dont go out very much, but I dont have a problem with it. Have left the club sence long ago, unless you can find a nice jazz club. I use to teach in public school and now Im an instructor at one of the Dallas area technical School for the medical professions.

My passion in life is my kids. What makes me a great partner is a kind heart, slow to temper, i love hard and i am loyal.

I'm rather reserved at times, particularly in a new environment. Nonetheless, I like to be silly and laugh a lot. I'm known for always smiling. It keeps me and those around me happy. Even when I don’t particularly feel happy, smiling changes that.

I am passionate about kids, and I invest a lot of time in my work. I'm very caring, pleasant (at least I think so), and I love people. I have to admit that I love to be spoiled, but I rarely put myself before others. I believe in setting and respecting boundaries. I choose my friends carefully, and I am very careful about with whom I spend my time. I believe that those who don’t respect my time won’t respect me.

I believe a good woman is one who is industrious, supportive, knows the secret to withstanding adversity, and an encourager.

I hate ignorance, (Oh yeah, I can be rather direct at times, too.), and I have very little patience for it. I don’t play games with people, and I don’t expect people to play games with me. Life is too short and too beautiful to spoil with things like that. :-)

I like to travel (near and far). I love to get out and do things (esp new things), but I also enjoy a quiet evening at home

If you manage to peek inside my heart you'll see that I am very much like a coconut - which seems to be tough on the outside but is soft internally - a charming person, who loves to dream, appreciates the little things in life and seeks a true soul-mate. May appear to maintain control over emotions and display composed manners, realistic actions and somber intentions (but you have to remember that this is not what is on the inside). You just have to become to be one of those few who manage to come close enough to really see. Willing to provide a roof in a storm as well as keep you warm on a freezing winter night. Tend to relax with age. Will take you on long drives, when most of the other men are resting their old bones. The best part always comes last, just like the dessert of the meal.

Keep real and love the little things

Hi, I'm fairly new to tx, transfered from K C. Mo. Loving it so far, I enjoy life to the fullest, taking each new day in stride, and thanking God for blessing me to see it. I'm a down to earth guy, no games and drama. Too old for that, hopefully, you are too. I'm working for my future, and retirement. Don't mind working hard, because, I know theres a payoff down the line. I love my family, and friends, and have few true friends. I like to joke and keep things lite, there are too many serious things in life that can get you down. So, I've learned to not stress, doesn't do any good anyway. I'm a people person, and rarely if ever, feel out of place, I'm comfortable with myself, so you can be too. In life, I've traveled quite a bit, in and out of the country. I enjoy different cultures, and believe we can learn alot from others. I'm also very affectionate, and give what I get. Sometimes more. My Mother & Dad taught us to be ladies & gentlemen. It goes a long way....
