MAESTRODECUBA, 46
I am a college professor, entrepreneur and artist. My friends would say I'm a visionary and energetic person who has never taken myself too seriously. For most of my life my world was one of constant exploration, personal challenge, and external achievement. While the resume looks good, this life never made me truly fulfilled. It seems like I was always going from one "big thing" to the next and never really taking time to exhale.
At this stage in my life I am out to smell the roses, enjoy good food, sip wine, explore my artistic side, and pass on some lessons to another generation. Although I am nowhere near retirement age I have lived a very, very full life characterized by taking on every challenge that I could. I've lived and worked in every region of the US and even Mexico. Now I just want to take a break from the cycle of competitiveness and stay still enough to get my two kids through high school and college as balanced, creative, and socially aware adults.

I am in the final stages of my official divorce and my legal status as a bachelor will be confirmed in a few months. Don't worry, the previous situation has been in the rear view mirror for some time. No lingering drama.
