My name is Alvin J. Smith, but my most people call me AJ because my dad and I shared the same name. So, to distinguish one from the other, I became AJ.

I am a self employed orthodontist by profession in a private practice.

Most of my education beyond high school was received elsewhere, but I returned to New Orleans to practice, because I felt the need to be within proximity of my parents who I felt were advancing in age.

I hope that my friends and my family members would describe me as dependable, humorous, organized, honest, considerate, intelligent, motivated, and energetic.

During my free time (which sometimes is not a lot), I like sporting activities and events such as water skiing, snow skiing, weight training and volleyball which I have played every Sunday afternoon for the past 11 years at City Park.

I do not cook, so I eat out everyday but at good quality restaurants. Besides, it would not be a lot of fun cooking for myself. I live alone in a 3 bedroom house in an upscale neighborhood, but the trade off in living in this kind of neighborhood is that I don't have ample opportunities to meet and greet many of my neighbors, but I do enjoy the relationships with those that I have met.

I love to have fun, and enjoy life. I like to shoot pool watch football, basketball love to go for walks and talk. etc. very romantic.
